Dr. Jordan Spencer is a triple board-certified physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, at Barrier Island Psychiatry, Dr. Spencer brings a sophisticated, multidisciplinary perspective to the intersection of physical and mental health.

Dr. Spencer’s leadership trajectory began at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), where he was selected for the prestigious Primary Care Scholars Pathway. During his medical training, he emerged as a prominent voice in organized medicine, serving as Class Vice President and representing his peers nationally on the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP).

He completed his dual residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Throughout his residency, Dr. Spencer remained a fixture in national medical leadership, serving two terms as Vice Chair of the Residents and Fellows Council within the AOGME.
