Brittany Albright
MD, MPH

Dr. Brittany Albright, MD, MPH, is a Harvard-trained, board-certified adult and addiction psychiatrist and the founder/owner of Sweetgrass Psychiatry in Charleston, SC. After earning her undergraduate degree from Emory University, she pursued her medical and public health degrees at the University of New Mexico, where she graduated in the top 25% of her class, earning induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Albright completed her adult psychiatry residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, where she completed additional psychotherapy training in Mentalization Based Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. She served as Chief Resident of Addiction Psychiatry and later completed a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina. Post graduate training, Dr. Albright completed certifications in transcranial magnetic stimulation and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

Her research career includes over 20 abstracts presented at national meetings and 15 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, focusing on innovative treatments and educational programs in psychiatry.

As a national healthcare speaker and consultant, Dr. Albright educates clinicians on new psychiatric treatments and advises healthcare companies on best practices in optimizing patient care. Sweetgrass Psychiatry, established in 2018, represents Dr. Albright's commitment to integrating evidence-based practices with patient-centered care. The clinic, led by Dr. Albright and a team of 20 clinicians, offers a comprehensive approach to mental health, incorporating a medical home model that includes primary care services. This structure supports a holistic treatment paradigm.
