In 1988, I enlisted in the Air Force as a Supply Chain Technician for four years before retraining into the Education & Training Management career field. I served my country proudly for twenty-four years before retiring as a Master Sergeant on December 1, 2012.

I hold a Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy in Humanitarian Leadership January 2026, dual master's degree in Management & Leadership and Human Resources from Webster University August 2017 and a MSW August 2023 from Florida State University and currently a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. I am Co-Chair Board member of Brevard UPLIFT Drug-Free Coalitions (formerly the Brevard Prevention Coalition), a local non-profit dedicated to youth substance abuse prevention, mental health support, and community empowerment. I am a Certified Well-Being Ambassador, HOPE Facilitator, Nationally certified Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence and Child Advocate, Nationally & Florida Certified Recovery Specialist assisting individuals with the diagnosis of mental illness and substance use disorder, graduate of Million Dollar Mic P3 University, and, last but not least, a John Maxwell Certified Speaker, Coach, Trainer and Educator.
