For more than two decades, Ed Rodgers has been at the forefront in creating and evolving oncology clinical pathways. He is driven by the desire to improve outcomes for patients with cancer. His experience began as the sole software engineer that created the first version of Via Oncology’s Pathways platform (now ClinicalPath) which evolved to his leadership role for Elsevier’s ClinicalPath through 2025. He has spent the last year working in the startup and consulting space thinking deeply about the intersection of healthcare information technologies, analytics, and the limitations of both alongside the backdrop of resource scarcity and the disruptions caused by the proliferation of AI. He is a strong patient advocate, believing that quality of life, however that patient defines “quality of life”, should remain the principal goal of care. Ed received his BS from the University of Pittsburgh in Natural Sciences.
