Dr. Winnie Zou, M.D., Ph.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Michigan. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of South Dakota before completing her combined M.D./Ph.D. at Baylor College of Medicine. She subsequently completed her internal medicine residency, gastroenterology fellowship, and advanced fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at the University of Michigan Health System.

Dr. Zou’s clinical and research expertise focuses on intestinal ultrasound (IUS) and pelvic floor dysfunction in patients with IBD. Her academic contributions encompass peer-reviewed publications on gastrointestinal stem cell biology, hepatology, and IBD management, alongside extensive service as an educator. She aspires to advance patient care in IBD through clinical innovation, teaching, and translational research.
