Jalpa Devi

Jalpa Devi, MBBS, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), where she specializes in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). She completed her Advanced IBD Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis after training in internal medicine and gastroenterology in Pakistan, where she served as Chief Gastroenterology Fellow.

Dr. Devi's clinical and research interests include precision medicine in IBD, advanced therapeutics, perianal Crohn's disease, intestinal ultrasound, artificial intelligence, and global health. She has authored more than 35 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, including Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Journal of Crohn's and Colitis, The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology, and Digestive Diseases and Sciences. She is an investigator in multiple international multicenter collaborations and has contributed to global consensus statements and guideline development.

Dr. Devi has received numerous national and international honors, including selection for the ASGE AI Scholars Program, AGA Best of FORWARD, the Crohn's & Colitis Congress Early Career Investigator Award, and the AIBD Ambassador Program. She is actively involved in leadership within the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, and several international IBD initiatives, with a focus on advancing evidence-based care and improving outcomes for patients with IBD worldwide.
