I am originally from Venezuela, and lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for 9 years where i completed my GI training, a Master of Science and PhD in Gastroenterology. I moved to US motivated to acquiring further training in IBD, which I was very honored to accomplish at the Mayo Clinic, Florida in 2022-2023. I presently practice as an IBD Specialist at the University of Florida, Jacksonville, where I am the IBD Medical Director. I am passionate about bringing the highest level of care to underserved communities. I love to teach my fellows how to manage complex patients with IBD and I am working towards implementing Intestinal Ultrasound at the University of Florida Jacksonville as a strategy to overcome barriers of care for our underserved population. I am a blessed, happy mom and wife and I embrace motherhood as the most fullfilling experience of mental and spiritual growth. I am grateful for the mentorship I have received though my career and I wish to give back to my fellows and to the IBD community a bit of all the great opportunities I have received.
