Daniella Salim, BSN, RN, EMT, is an EMS Captain with the Great Neck Vigilant Fire Company in New York and a Registered Nurse. She began her EMS career at a young age and became an EMS officer early, now entering her fifth year in leadership. Daniella has taught more than 100 EMS drills and has overseen training, QA/QI, EMT clearance, and operational development for her agency. Prior to becoming an RN, she worked as an Emergency Department Technician, gaining extensive hands-on experience with trauma activations, respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, and high-acuity medical patients. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Molloy University and has built a reputation for strengthening EMT education, improving early recognition skills, and modernizing volunteer EMS systems. Daniella is known for her practical, high-impact instructional style that bridges real clinical experience with field-based operational excellence.
