Luke Hodgson is the Director of the Montgomery County, Maryland Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, a position he was appointed to by Governor Wes Moore. Luke is responsible for emergency management and homeland security for the most populous county in Maryland, directly adjacent to DC, where approximately 1.1 million people live across 500 square miles. Luke started his career as a firefighter/paramedic and has been deeply involved in EMS research and education since. Luke's undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Maryland and Mount Saint Mary's University. He also eatned a Master's of Science in Emergency Health Services Policy and Administration from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, and a Master of Arts in Homeland Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security.
