St. George Fire Protection District #2 - Chief of EMS

My name is Daniel Duerr. I am a current Medical Training Officer at the St. George Fire Prevention District #2. I currently hold an NRP and RN license and work part-time at the Rise Community Hospital and Pafford Air One as a Flight Medic.

Starting as a volunteer firefighter in 2007 and subsequently being “encouraged” to pursue EMT-Basic in 2010, Joshua became enamored with the world of Emergency Medical Services. After achieving his Paramedic certification in 2013, he then sought full-time employment, landing at Mandeville Fire Department (St. Tammany FD4), an ALS transporting fire service in Louisiana. After working as a street medic and firefighter for nearly 5-years, an opportunity to help build and grow an ALS program with St. George Fire Protection District No. 2 presented itself and was eagerly pursued. Now serving as the Assistant Chief of EMS for SGFD, Joshua is working towards advancing his department’s stance in the world of EMS through implementation of new technologies while also leading by example and working to further his educational background.

Bob Page is an internationally known speaker, instructor, author and paramedic. He is recognized for his energetic, humorous and motivational style. Bob takes ordinarily dry and hard to teach topics and transforms them into a fun, learning experience. He holds a Master’s degree in Adult Education. Bob has been an instructor for almost 50 years teaching a variety of adult education courses from customer service to advanced medical care. He is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator & Operations Specialist. He has presented over 5000 seminars worldwide. He developed Multi-Lead Medics 12 Lead, Capnography and Stethoscopy Courses. founder of Manual Ventilation Academy. and a clinical consultant for the American Red Cross ALS Course. He was recognized as Missouri’s “Most Creative Educator” and Legends That Walk Among us Award from NAEMSE.

Armand Pitre BS, NRP, NCEE, FP-C, CCP-C, TP-C, Medical Training Officer for the St. George Fire Department.

As the Medical Training Officer for the St. George Fire Department, Armand Pitre is passionate about advancing EMS education through realistic simulation, evidence-based practice, and engaging instruction. Drawing from experience as a practicing paramedic and educator, he enjoys breaking down complex topics into practical concepts that improve provider confidence and patient care. His mission is to help clinicians leave every class better prepared for the next call. His goal is to create engaging education that equips providers with practical skills and confidence they can immediately apply in the field.
