Dr. Bouland is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine and EMS at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. He serves as Assisant Program Director for the EMS Fellowship and also serves as Medical Director for Wilson County EMS and Assosciate Medical Director for Pitt County EMS. He is a Founding Board Member of the Compress & Shock Foundation, a recognized non-profit institution for teaching compression-only CPR to laypersons. Dr. Bouland has presented SADS to the North Carolina EMS Fellowship Grand Rounds as well as at NAEMSP and the North Carolina EMS Expo. Dr. Bouland completed medical school at University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD, emergency medicine residency at Virginia Tech-Carilion in Roanoke, VA, and EMS Fellowship at Atrium Health/Mecklenburg EMS - Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
