Participants will learn about specific wound types, such as diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, or pressure injuries, and incorporate demonstrations of best practices for cleaning, protecting, and monitoring the wound. This session reviews essential topics such as nutrition for healing, adherence to provider instructions, safe disposal of supplies, and when patients should seek medical attention. By combining clinical expertise with home-based education, community paramedics enhance patient self-management, support continuity of care, and promote improved wound healing outcomes.
