Faculty Agenda

Dr. Oren Wacht, EMT-P, MHA, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Ben-Gurion University and Academic Director of the Medical Simulation Center in Beer Sheva, Israel. He holds a B.EMS in Emergency Medicine, an MHA in Health Systems Management, and a PhD in Health Management from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. A practicing paramedic with Magen David Adom since 2003 on EMS and HEMS, Dr. Wacht serves on the MDA Medical Committee and advises the Israeli Ministry of Health on prehospital emergency care. His major accomplishments include leading the development of university-based paramedic education in Israel, securing multiple national research grants on prehospital outcomes, simulation, and authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications and invited presentations at international EMS and emergency medicine conferences.
