Dr. Meg Marino is the Director and Medical Director for the New Orleans EMS. As a pediatric emergency medicine physician she serves on local and national committees. She lectures nationally on her work in EMS. She was one of the first EMS medical directors give cold blood in the prehospital setting. She has received recognitions from national medical society’s including the Craig A. Manifold Frontline Responder Advocacy Award bestowed by the Metropolitan EMS Medical Directors Global Alliance for her championing the health and well-being of first responders. Dr. Marino is also an expert on mass gathering medicine (e.g., Super Bowl. Mardi Gras, Jazz Festival, Hurricane Katrina). She was present with her team on the ground during the New Year’s Day truck attack in New Orleans.
