Faculty Agenda

Amy Gutman, MD, FACEP, is a proud educator in both prehospital and hospital settings and CEO / Founder of ToughLoveMD. She's been in public service since 1987, when she began working in EMS/Fire Rescue, learning through service and dedication to her community. Dr. Gutman has been Board Certified in Emergency Medicine since 2008, with fellowships in prehospital care and resuscitation, and certifications in maritime medicine and leadership. She is currently a locum's emergency physician, primarily working in rural, underserved areas. Over the past three decades, she's worked in EMS, fire-rescue, aeromedical, maritime, research, EDs, and ICUs across the US, Bermuda, and the Caribbean, including as a Medical Director of prehospital care and hospital departments and associate professor of EM. Dr. Gutman loves advancing and improving patient outcomes through quality education provided via conferences, in-person sessions, and remote learning.
