Jorge J. García, PharmD, MBA, MHA, MS, FACHE, FACCC is Assistant Vice President at Baptist Health South Florida, overseeing system-wide oncology, ambulatory infusion, and investigational drug pharmacy services. He earned his PharmD and MBA from Nova Southeastern University, completed a PGY-1/PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency and MS in Pharmacy Administration at UPMC, and holds an MHA from Florida Atlantic University.
Dr. García is a national thought leader in pharmacy revenue integrity, biosimilars, alternative payment models, and value-based care. He frequently speaks at national conferences and directs educational initiatives focused on advancing clinical and operational excellence in oncology and infusion services.
He has held various leadership roles including inpatient operations coordinator and director of oncology pharmacy services, and is recognized for his advocacy efforts promoting access to medicines and high-quality pharmacy standards.
Dr. García has served on the board of the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO) since 2015, currently as Treasurer. He is a recipient of FLASCO’s Above and Beyond Award and the Dorothy Phillips Lifetime Achievement Award. At the national level, he serves on the Board of Trustees for the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC), where he is also Executive Secretary.
He is Chair and founding member of the Advanced Topics for Oncology Pharmacy Professionals (ATOPP) national conference, faculty for the ASHP Foundation’s Pharmacy Leadership Academy, and currently serves on ASCO’s Clinical Innovation and Government Relations Committees. He is a Fellow of ACCC and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
