Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) 3rd Edition Provider Course

Monday, September 28, 8:00 AM—5:00 PM AND Tuesday, September 29, 8:00 AM—5:00 PM

This new 3rd edition of NAEMT's Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course teaches EMS clinicians and other out-of-hospital health care clinicians how to respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment. With the global increase in hostile/high-threat events, it is more important than ever that prehospital clinicians are trained to provide time-sensitive, life-saving care while minimizing risk to self and others.

The two-day course includes new lessons and more time for clinical skills and patient simulations. Course content covers the following topics:
•    Phases of tactical care
•    Hemorrhage control
•    Airway stabilization
•    Chest trauma
•    Principles of triage
•    Patient extrication and movement
•    Casualty collection points
•    A final, mass-casualty/active shooter event simulation.

NAEMT's TECC course is endorsed by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma and is consistent with the current guidelines established by the Committee on TECC (Co-TECC).

Participants receive 16 hours of CAPCE-approved credit and the 3rd edition course manual.
