2:30 PM - 3:30 PM
This session is a crash course designed to keep you upright, uninjured, and off anyone’s incident report. This session teaches you to spot danger before it spots you and respond intelligently when it does. Remember: if your patient attacks, they’re no longer a patient—they’re a threat.
You’ll learn to read a scene, a patient, and a crowd with the precision of a paranoid spy—but professionally. We’ll cover practical de-escalation techniques to calm situations before they escalate, and combine them with escape and evasion strategies so you can get out safely if words aren’t enough. Think of it as staying one step ahead—mentally and physically—without relying on brute force.
You’ll practice safe body positioning, controlled approaches, and scenario-based strategies to diffuse conflict, maintain control of the “mat,” and avoid being taken down by someone moments from making a terrible decision. All training happens as one big group—no awkward breakout sessions, just practical, street-relevant skills.
If you enjoy staying conscious, mobile, and out of worker’s comp claims, this will be your new favorite hour of professional development.
