Beware-of-Hotel-Reservations-Scams

    • What if I am contacted by someone offering lower rates or urging me to book immediately?

      Scammers may call or email conference attendees, faculty, and exhibitors, claiming to represent SLEC or its vendors, and encourage you to book rooms via fake promotion companies. They may know a lot about the meeting and may even alter the caller ID to make it look like SLEC or HMP is calling. Those targeted by these scammers are told housing is filling up or is almost sold out and rooms should be booked with them immediately.

      SLEC, HMP, and our host hotels will never call you to solicit hotel reservations. Any legitimate message to attendees will direct you to the meeting's Hotel & Travel information page, where attendees will use secure links to make reservations with our approved housing provider, Orchid Events. 

      SLEC and HMP respect your privacy and will never post attendee or exhibitor contact information online. Rooms booked through any source other than the approved housing provider are at your own risk. 

      If you receive suspicious emails or calls, please forward the information to shewitt@hmpglobal.com so we can investigate and help prevent further solicitations

Exhibitor-and-Group-Sub-Blocks

    • Can I reserve a Sub-block for my group or exhibit team?

      Yes!
      Organizations requiring eight (8) or more hotel room reservations at any Senior Living hotel must complete a Sub-Block Agreement.

      Please note:
      Hotel rooms are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Exhibitors and sponsors requiring larger room blocks are encouraged to reserve early.
      A non-refundable deposit equal to two (2) nights' room and tax is due at the time the room block is confirmed. This deposit will be applied to the guest folio(s) upon check-in.
      A complete group rooming list must be submitted no later than March 25, 2027, and must include the following for eacvh guest:

      • First and last name
      • Arrival and departure dates
      • Email address

      Full non-refundable prepayment of the remaining balance for the room block is due no later than April 2, 2027.

Reservation-Guarantee-&-Deposit-Policy

    • What is the hotel reservation guarantee and deposit policy for this event?

      Attendees:
      When booking your hotel accommodations, you must provide a valid credit card number to guarantee payment. Reservations cancelled between the initial time of booking and on or before April 1, 2027, will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. All reservations require a non-refundable deposit of one night’s room & tax. Hotels will charge a non-refundable deposit of one night’s room & tax on or after April 2, 2027. This deposit will be applied to each guest’s folio upon check-in. Please note that if you cancel on or after April 2, 2027, this deposit will not be refunded.
