3:50 PM - 4:50 PM
Perimenopause and menopause can bring hormonal changes that influence mood, cognition, attention, sleep, and the course of existing psychiatric conditions. This session explores the intersection of the menopausal transition with depression, PMDD, and ADHD, with an emphasis on recognizing changing symptom patterns and navigating complex treatment decisions. Through an integrated patient case and lived experience, faculty will examine practical psychopharmacologic strategies, hormone therapy considerations, differential diagnosis, and individualized approaches to help psychiatric NPs provide informed, patient-centered care during midlife.
