Antipsychotics are a class of psychotropic medication broadly used to treat not only schizophrenia, but also schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder (mania, depression, and maintenance), agitation associated with Alzheimer's dementia, and as an augmentation strategy to treat major depressive disorder.
In this session, expert faculty will review all available agents within this medication class, mechanisms of action, appropriate dosing of these agents, and adverse effects.
