60 min
Saturday, November 14, 2026
11:40 AM - 12:40 PM
Despite strong evidence supporting their use, long-acting injectable antipsychotics remain underutilized in clinical practice. This session reviews the evidence, including historical data, PRELAPSE, and current guidelines, and examines the gap between clinician beliefs and patient perspectives and how framing shapes acceptance. Attendees will leave able to choose among aripiprazole, paliperidone, and risperidone LAIs by weighing pharmacokinetics, dosing intervals, missed-dose considerations, access, and clinic workflow.
