Dr Jennifer Andrews trained as a Podiatrist at The University of Salford, where she subsequently completed her PhD. Jennifer's PhD studies related to the composition of the foot skin in the age and diabetes and the technology used to assess skin characteristics, primarily skin hydration. Jennifer has previously undertaken work relating to skin pH and emollient efficacy on the foot and she is currently working on a project investigating the use of ultrasound in the diabetic foot. Jennifer also delivers lectures within the Podiatry BSc programme and runs a small private podiatry practice in Manchester.
