Jonathan Hsu
MD, MAS

Jonathan Hsu, MD,MAS is board-certified cardiologist who subspecializes in electrophysiology. He takes care of patients with all types of fast (tachycardia), slow (bradycardia), and irregular heart rhythm disorders, including both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias.

Besides using catheter ablation to treat atrial fibrillation, Dr. Hsu also has a special interest in stroke reduction in patients with AF using warfarin (Coumadin) or newer blood thinners (non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants). He is trained and able to perform left atrial appendage (LAA) exclusion, including the WATCHMAN left atrial appendage occlusion device and Amulet device.

As a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Dr. Hsu educates and mentors medical students, residents and fellows. He is also a clinical research investigator with advanced training, and his interests include epidemiology and clinical outcomes in patients with all types of cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Hsu's research has resulted in publications in medical journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, as well as several top cardiology journals, including Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Circulation.
