Fellows Grant Support Program

Western Atrial Fibrillation Symposium (Western AFib) looks forward to granting scholarships to residents and fellows enrolled in accredited electrophysiology fellowship programs in February 2024.  The scholarship portal will be available soon.

Schedule of Events

Important Information

Applications will continue to be accepted until all spots are filled.  A wait list will also be started.  Please see below for approximate notification timelines:

  • Week of November 6, 2024: Applicants notified of acceptance on a rolling basis. Waitlisted applicants will be notified as well.
  • Cancellation requests must be received by January 22, 2024. Please email your cancellation request to Liz Minor at lminor@hmpglobal.com.

 

Scholarship Awardees Will Receive:

  • Complimentary tuition for all days of the WAFIB 2024 program taking place February 22-24, 2024.  The Fellows Competition will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 and is a required event for scholarship recipients to attend.  
  • Travel stipend of $600 to be used toward travel expenses incurred to attend WAFIB. 

 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited electrophysiology fellowship programs at the time of the meeting (February 2024).
  • Applicants will be required to submit a signed letter (on letterhead) from your program director confirming your status as a current resident or fellow in February 2024.

 

Terms of Acceptance

  • Provide a completed W9 form
  • Attend the full conference including all mandatory scholarship related sessions/events as posted above and designated throughout the agenda
  • Complete a brief post-activity survey

 

Support

The activity honorarium for residents and fellows is supported by educational grants from various companies to be announced at a later date.
