Dr. Kenneth Stein is the senior vice president and global chief medical officer, a
position he has held since February 2023.
In this role he has oversight for the clinical trials, medical safety and medical affairs
functions for Rhythm Management, the Global Clinical Operations (GCO) team and
Global Medical Affairs team and is responsible for ensuring a cohesive clinical
community of practice across the company. Dr. Stein also represents the clinical voice
for our investor audiences.
Prior to joining Boston Scientific, Dr. Stein held the position of Associate Director of
Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Weill Cornell Medical Center and Associate
Professor of Medicine at Cornell University.
Dr. Stein is widely published, having authored over 150 peer-reviewed scientific
publications in the areas of cardiac electrophysiology with special interests in cardiac
resynchronization therapy and risk stratification for sudden cardiac arrest.
Dr. Stein is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard College (in Economics) and an Alpha
Omega Alpha graduate from New York University School of Medicine. He completed
his medical internship and residency at The New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill
Cornell Medical Center, where he also completed his cardiology and cardiac
electrophysiology training.

Dr. Turakhia is an internationally recognized cardiac electrophysiologist, researcher, executive, and leader in digital health and heart rhythm care. He is Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Officer at iRhythm Technologies, Inc, a publicly traded cardiovascular diagnostics and digital health company. He is Professor of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

Trained in computer science, medicine, biostatistics, and research, he brings over 20 years of experience in patient care, outcomes research and trials, data science and artificial intelligence, medical device regulation, and the creation and commercialization of digital health products. At Stanford, he was the Co-Founder and Director of the Stanford Center for Digital Health. He has led several large-scale trials of digital health tools and wearables for heart disease, including as co-principal investigator of the landmark Apple Heart Study. For 14 years, he served as Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, where he developed a best-in-class arrhythmia care program and where he continues to treat patients with arrhythmia procedures. In academic and industry roles, he has led teams to build and commercialize software-enabled remote patient monitoring platforms and electronic health record AI-guided knowledge extraction tools, most recently with 100Plus (acquired by Connect America) and Evidently (co-founder). Dr. Turakhia has authored over 300 publications and has received over $50 million in research funding as PI. Over the last 20 years, he has had several dozen leadership and clinical practice guideline author roles in HRS, AHA, ACC, EHRA, and ESC.

Dr. Nassir F. Marrouche is a globally renowned electrophysiologist and pioneer in the treatment of atrial fibrillation and its outcomes. He is a tenured Professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine at Tulane University and is Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Division. He initiated a collaborative arrhythmia center that is bringing together a cross-departmental team of physicians, scientists, researchers, MRI and imaging specialists, and digital health experts dedicated to working collaboratively to improve successful prediction, prevention and outcomes in the treatment of cardiovascular disease using innovative approaches and technologies.

Dr. Marrouche is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society (HRS). He recently received the James H. Youngblood Excellence in Leadership Award as the Chair of the Digital Health Committee of HRS. In this position, Dr Marrouche has led multiple initiatives to improve the integration of digital technology into clinical practice. He has published his research findings in more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and prominent medical journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation and Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
