Dr. Segar is a cardiac electrophysiology fellow at the Texas Heart Institute where he also completed his cardiology fellowship. He graduated from Internal Medicine residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center and received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He also graduated with a degree in computer science with Honors from Bucknell University and a Masters of Science in Bioinformatics from Indiana University. His current research focuses on using machine learning and artificial intelligence to improve risk prediction and tailor medical therapies to identify and treat cardiovascular disease.
