Marcos Daccarett

Elaine M. Hylek, MD, MPH, is a Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. She received her MD from the University of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine and a Masters in Public Health (quantitative methods) from Harvard University School of Public Health. She completed her residency training in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Her research areas include arterial (stroke) and venous thrombosis, anticoagulant therapies, and atrial fibrillation. She has served as PI on several NIH R01 grants, served on the Executive Steering Committees for international clinical trials and national registries, Event Adjudication Committees, and Data Safety Monitoring Boards. She has also served as the Late Breaking Clinical Trial Discussant for multiple international trials in the field of thrombosis. Dr. Hylek is a former Section Editor for Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and a founding member of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis World Thrombosis Day initiative. Current roles include Director of the Thrombosis and Anticoagulation Service at Boston Medical Center. She is extensively published and designated a U.S. News Top Doctor and voted Best Doctors in America for the past decade.

Dr. Marcos Daccarett, MD, MSc, completed his Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology training at the University of Utah. As faculty with the University of Utah he received several research awards for his work in atrial fibrillation. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, he leads the Cardiac Electrophysiology program st St Luke's Boise, with emphasis in atrial fibrillation management including research in ablation technologies and left atrial appendage occlusion.

Luigi Di Biase, MD, PhD, FACC, FHRS, is System Director of Electrophysiology at Montefiroe Health System as well as Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Di Biase attended University of Bari in Bari, Italy, graduating from its medical school in 2000 and Cardiology residency program in 2004. In 2006, he completed a second-level master’s degree in Electrophysiology and Pacing at the University of Insubria, in Varese, Italy.

In 2007, Dr. Di Biase received a grant from the Italian National Society of Cardiology to pursue a research fellowship at the Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Di Biase completed the PhD program in cardiovascular physiopathology at the University of Foggia, Italy, in 2010.

Dr. Di Biase's research focuses on cardiology and electrophysiology, with an emphasis on catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias performed either manually or with robotic catheter navigation. His research focuses on heart failure, particularly in cases treated with cardiac resynchronization therapy devices.
Dr. Di Biase is the author of more than 800 publications in indexed journals at high impact factor, about 800 abstracts, and 16 electrophysiology book chapters.
He has presented at numerous national and international conferences as an invited speaker.
