The Official Meeting of EP Lab Digest
Nicholas S Peters is Professor of Cardiology, Head of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Imperial College London, with a senior EP career that started in 1995 – Ground Zero of the modern AF era. After 25 years ablating, he pivoted to Digital Public Health and co-founded Imperial’s Virtual Hospital, Centre for Cardiac Engineering and Health Impact Lab - not only delivering better and more cost-effective care but uniquely successful in addressing the universal challenge – that "innovation" has failed if it doesn't routinely impact patients. Responsible for the biggest deployment of AI in frontline care worldwide, “go-to-care” is his commitment to implementing innovative direct-care pathways at Imperial Hospitals, across the NHS and beyond. His interest in remote care and implementation science is underpinned by a research program funded principally by the British Heart Foundation, NIHR and UK Government. With ~400 peer-reviewed papers and patents in the field, he has a number of international research collaborations, is on the Advisory Boards and Consultant to a number of academic, publishing, commercial and governmental entities in Europe and U.S.A. He is Affiliated Faculty at Harvard-Thorndike EP Institute, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre, and in Department of Pharmacology, Columbia University, NY, and co-founder of the European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society and ARPIEM Ltd.
