Peter Hanna

Dr. Hanna is an Assistant Professor at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University in 2013 and his PhD in Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology from UCLA in 2021. After internal medicine residency training at the University of California San Francisco, he completed his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowship training at UCLA. Upon completion of his training, he joined the faculty at UCLA. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he heads a research lab focused on better understanding the role of the autonomic nervous system in atrial fibrillation.
