Jennifer Place, MA, LPC, LAC currently serves as a Program Manager for the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus where she supports the work of the Colorado MAT Expansion Pilot program as well as the Treatment, Recovery, and Affected Families & Friends Work Groups. She serves as adjunct faculty for the University of Colorado Denver, in the Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education program for masters-level students.
For over 15 years, Jennifer has worked in an array of substance-related clinical settings including private practice and outpatient treatment, employee assistance, clinical evaluation, prevention specialist and recovery services development. Jennifer is a Board Member of the Colorado Association of Addiction Professionals and previously served on the Boards of the Colorado Employee Assistance Professionals Association and Working Minds Advisory Board for the Carson J Spencer Foundation for suicide prevention.
As a passionate educator, Jennifer has inspired business owners, managers, counselors, students, and other health care providers to take an interest in substance use and related mental health issues while investing in prevention, early intervention, and treatment. She has presented to numerous professional and community audiences across Colorado and the United States.
