Dr. Anidolee “Ann” Melville-Chester serves as Division Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness at the Metro Public Health Department in Nashville. She holds a PhD in Clinical Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University, dual Master’s degrees from Cambridge College and Tennessee State University, and a BS from Roger Williams University. With over 25 years as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Dr. Melville-Chester brings extensive leadership experience from roles including Deputy Director of Clinical Services at the Tennessee Department of Corrections and Director of Community Development at United Way of Williamson County. She has contributed to numerous health equity initiatives through service on local and state task forces and coalitions. An active educator, she teaches counseling and psychology at Northern Caribbean University and John A. Gupton College. She is currently the co-chair for the Mayor’s Behavioral Health and Wellness Advisory Council for Nashville and Davidson County as well as a member of the executive committee for the National Alliance of Mental Illness.
