Curt Lindsley

Curt Lindsley has over 20 years experience in leading nonprofit organizations.

In 2019, Curt Lindsley co-founded Best Life Recovery Residences, a recovery residence program for women in Huntsville, Alabama. Then in 2021, Curt helped to lead the effort as Board President for the Alabama Alliance for Recovery Residences to become accredited by the National Alliance for Recovery Residences to certify recovery residences in Alabama based on the NARR Standards. Curt later became Executive Director of AARR in 2023.

Curt represents the state of Alabama as a consultant for the Opioid Response Network; serves on Alabama's Reentry 2030 Task Force; is Founder and Director of Alabama Recovery Advocacy Day and Montgomery Recovers; serves as Co-Founder of End Addiction Sand Mountain and Calhoun County Recovers; serves on the Alabama Opioid Overdose and Addiction Council as a member of the Treatment and Recovery and Law Enforcement Committees; is a Board Member for the Alabama School of Alcohol and Drug Studies (ASADS); serves on the Leadership Council for the Southeast Addiction Recovery Coalition; and serves on the Board of Governors for the American Addiction Recovery Association.

In addition, Curt is Co-Chairman for the NARR Faith-Based Community of Practice, that was just launched in 2026.

Curt was the recipient of the first ever Ally of Recovery Award, presented in March 2025 at the 10th Annual Certified Recovery Support Specialist Conference Awards in Gadsden, Alabama.

Curt regularly speaks at conferences, and is a passionate advocate for the NARR Standards and the difference that quality recovery residences can make in helping people find long-term recovery. He proactively collaborates with other recovery organizations, stakeholders and state and national agencies to work on common sense solutions to address substance use disorder and our nation’s opioid crisis.
