Jaime serves as the Director of the Office of Faith-Based Initiatives with the TN Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. His role includes oversight of the Lifeline, Hybrid Lifeline, and Faith-Based coordinators as well as the Collegiate Recovery Initiative. Combined, this team of change agents break stigma, provide hope, help navigate recovery resources, and empower communities across the state of Tennessee to stand in the gap and create pathways to recovery.
Jaime works to expand the knowledge base of Certified Faith-Based Recovery Partners and Certified Recovery Friendly Campuses as well as support the supervisors who are vital to the operation and success of the team. He is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Lipscomb University with a specialization in addictions. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor, holds temporary Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) designation, and provides addiction and clinical counseling to individuals and groups in the Nashville area. He is the Vice President of Public Relations for the James K. Polk Toastmasters Club, has worked in recovery for the past fourteen years, and is in long-term recovery from co-occurring disorders himself.
