Tiffany Winston

Tiffany Winston is the Deputy Branch Chief for the Prevention Programs and Evaluation Branch (PPEB) in the Division of Overdose Prevention (DOP) at CDC's National Center for Injury Prevention. She serves as a principal advisor on program operations and administration of the branch which includes developing, monitoring, and managing the branch budget, provides leadership and direction for the development and maintenance of overdose prevention initiatives, and serves as a subject matter expert for health equity.

She previously served as a lead Public Health Advisor at CDC leading projects to increase work flow for the Overdose Data to Action cooperative agreement and worked extensively with partners and recipients to develop, monitor, and manage their overdose portfolio. She also worked on childhood lead poisoning activities to eliminate childhood lead poisoning in communities across the US in CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health. Tiffany has worked in multiple areas of the government including serving as a Public Health Advisor in environmental health, chronic, and epidemiology, and fostered a culture of innovation that helped integrate innovation into the work of the programs. Tiffany has worked as an Epidemiologist in the local county health department in Kissimmee, FL and as a Regional Epidemiologist and Lab Liaison at the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Public Health Laboratories. She has an extensive background in health equity, investigative methods, surveillance of infectious diseases, and program management, and also brings a wealth of knowledge in leadership, program planning, grants management, implementation, and providing technical assistance support to recipients.
