Connie Patterson

Connie Patterson recently retired after 30 years working in various public entities, she spent the last 15 years as the Finance Manager for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., Nevada High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area grant program (NV HIDTA). Along with her financial expertise, in this position Connie also served as Nevada HIDTA’s second in command often providing operational controls, employee oversight, and guidance as Nevada HIDTA expanded into new programs including the national Overdose Response Strategy and Intelligence and Case Support Strategy. After retiring, Ms. Patterson was retained by Nevada HIDTA to become a Program Manager and Public Safety Representative for Nevada HIDTA overseeing essential community programs such as the Prevention Initiative, Overdose Response Strategy initiative, and as administrative manager of the Intelligence Support Initiative.

Ms. Patterson’s background includes extensive experience as a governmental accounting professional. She has dedicated her career to the intricate world of federal grant management. With a deep understanding of financial regulations and a keen eye for detail, she has played a pivotal role in ensuring the fiscal integrity of government programs. Throughout her career, she has been a stalwart guardian of taxpayer dollars, implementing rigorous financial controls to safeguard public funds. Ms. Patterson developed executive level knowledge and understanding that bridges the gap between financial acumen and public service goals, becoming a trusted advisor in her field. Beyond the numbers, her commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry trends has solidified her reputation as a forward-thinking expert in federal grant management.
