Sherman A. Brown began his political career as an intern on Ken Lucas’ 2002 reelection campaign for US Congress. He continued his path, holding senior roles ranging from local municipal elections to statewide gubernatorial and US Senate campaigns. Brown most recently served as Deputy Campaign Manager on the 2011 reelection slate of Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and Jerry Abramson.

Brown joined McCarthy Strategic Solutions in 2011. His government relations advocacy covers a broad range of issues relating to small business’ needs, nonprofit entities and healthcare. Deeply involved in the community, Sherman currently serves on the University of Louisville Board of Overseers and March of Dimes Signature Chefs Annual Event. Sherman has previously served on the YMCA Safe Place Services Board and Fund for the Arts neXt Board.

Born and raised in Louisville, Sherman Brown graduated from Trinity High School, earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Xavier University in Cincinnati, and completed his Masters of Public Administration from Western Kentucky University. He lives in Louisville with his wife, Kaitlyn, and their son, Langston.
