Jac Charlier has dedicated his justice career to making your community safer. His focus is on crime reduction, with the goal of reducing drug use, drug-related crime, and victimization. He pays special attention to youth, veterans, and survivors of crime. Jac’s approach includes strong support for prevention, treatment, and recovery, as well as drug supply reduction.

A former Deputy Chief with Illinois State Parole, Jac is a successful nonprofit Justice executive. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of TASC's Center for Health and Justice (CHJ), a national and international nonprofit that specializes in practical, local, and collaborative solutions at the intersection of public safety and public health. He is the founder and CEO of the Police, Treatment, and Community Collaborative (PTACC), the global voice of the deflection field, and is a founder of the international deflection field, creating strategies that bridge law enforcement, treatment, and community to reduce drug use, drug crime, promote recovery, and strengthen community.

Jac is a military veteran and Eagle Scout. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois (Illini) and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from The Ohio State University (Buckeyes), where his thesis focused on the experiences of crime survivors. Jac is a Board member of the Illinois Academy of Criminology (IAC). He and his wife have five children, and when possible, he is glad to pick up a rugby match in whatever country he is working.
