Robert McClintock is the Assistant to the General President for Technical Assistance and Information Resources at the IAFF. In that position, he provides direction to the Fire & EMS Operations Departmetnt and the Collective Bargaining Department serving over 363,000 members in the United States and Canada. He started with the IAFF in 2015, first as a fire-based EMS specialist and then as deputy director, and director of Fire and EMS Operations. Prior to joining the IAFF, McClintock retired as a captain after a 25-year career with the City of Hackensack Fire Department. He served as vice president of Hackensack, NJ Local 2018, and as a trustee for Hackensack Fire Officers Local 3172. Robert also worked with a paramedic agency in New Jersey, serving in multiple positions over a 17-year career, including EMT, paramedic, 9-1-1 dispatcher, communications coordinator, and operations coordinator for the agency’s South Division. In May 2022, the Center for Public Safety Excellence appointed him to the Commission on Fire Accreditation International as the Labor representative.
