Dr. Kollas has provided outpatient palliative care at Orlando Health Cancer Institute for over 25 years, and he is board-certified in internal medicine and hospice & palliative medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed his medical degree and residency at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of Penn State University College of Medicine over 20 years ago. He serves as the Delegate for the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine's to the American Medical Association's House of Delegates, and he has chaired the AMA Pain & Palliative Medicine Section Specialty Section Council since 2010. Dr. Kollas has also served on the AMA Substance Use & Pain Care Task Force since 2015. He has authored numerous articles and chapters on medicolegal issues in medicine and palliative care.
