Amanda Sharp
PhD, MPH

Amanda Sharp, PhD, MPH earned her PhD from the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences at the University of South Florida in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy. She held a post-doctoral research fellowship at Harvard University’s Cambridge Health Alliance in the Health Equity Research lab and The Center for Mindfulness and Compassion. She is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), with extensive experience designing and implementing interventions based on the application of person-centered care strategies for behavior change interventions involving treatment and harm reduction for people with substance use disorders. She now serves as a public health analyst in the capacity of a government project officer and subject matter expert at SAMHSA in the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT).
