Patrick Neubert

CDR Patrick Neubert, US Public Health Service, serves as the Opioid Rapid Response Coordinator for the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the United States Department of Health and Human Services. In this role, he works to alert state health authorities and insurance partners of clinic closures due to law enforcement actions on controlled substance providers, supporting care continuity and risk reduction for patients by coordinating federal law enforcement actions and public health overdose risk mitigation.
CDR Neubert is a recognized expert in healthcare claims analysis and policy. Previously, he worked for nine years within the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the Center for Program Integrity, focusing on Medicare fraud analytics. In his last position at CMS, he served as the Acting Director of the Division of Provider Investigations and Audits.
CDR Neubert has served on multiple public health deployments, including on the COVID-19 surges, influx of unaccompanied children, Operation Allies Welcome, and Hurricane Irma and Maria. He holds an MSPH from Emory University and an MSW from Case Western Reserve University and is a Licensed
Independent Clinical Social Worker.
