Shawna Mitchell

Shawna Mitchell is the project director for the Kentucky Judicial Commission on Mental Health. She has 20 years of experience with the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts serving primarily in compliance and grant management, including the Responsive Education to Support Treatment in Opioid Recovery Efforts (RESTORE), Court Improvement Program (CIP), Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and other projects supported by the State Justice Institute, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Shawna holds bachelor’s degrees in Correctional and Juvenile Justice and Psychology, a master’s degree in Juvenile Justice and is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
