Arieana Love

Arieana “Ari” Love, BA (she/they) is a graduate teaching assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In her role, she assists in teaching graduate-level health policy and advocacy courses in the MPH program. Ari previously worked as an intern on the Social and Behavioral Health team at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), providing technical assistance and capacity building support for recipients funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) cooperative agreement. She worked with partners and recipients to improve overdose morbidity and mortality outcomes through OD2A’s overdose prevention and surveillance strategies. Ari has over 2 years of experience working with community and governmental partners to support overdose prevention efforts. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia and will graduate with a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2024.
