Agent Angel Laite, is an Agent and sworn law enforcement officer for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), since June 2000, and currently assigned to the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI) Physicians/ Pharmaceutical Crimes Unit.

Angel has been a full time Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office since 2000. Prior to this, she was employed with the Winter Garden Police Department from August 1987 continuously through June of 2000. During this time she has worked in the following capacities: The Patrol Division and the Detective Division as both a uniformed investigator and in an undercover capacity. Angel is currently assigned to The Metropolitan Bureau of Investigations within the Physicians Pharmaceutical Crimes Unit. During this time she has been involved in cases that specialize in the area of Pharmaceutical Crimes and in the area of enforcing crimes involving Health Care Professionals and the diversion of prescription drugs. Angel has attended numerous courses and seminars in the areas of Narcotic Investigations and Health Care Related Drug Diversion and works closely with the Florida Department of Health, as the administrative enforcement agency for the Health Care Profession. In her current position, she investigates incidents pertaining to the diversion of narcotics, controlled and legend prescription medications, “pill” dealers, pharmacist, physicians, and their employees. Angel also investigates incidents of individuals practicing medicine or providing health care type services without having the proper licensure to do so, resulting in the arrests of those individuals.
