Matt Kovacich

Matt Kovacich is a Sergeant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) and has been with the department for 17 years. Matt is currently the supervisor for LVMPD’s Office of Community Engagement and Behavioral Health Unit. The objective of this unit is to focus on mental health, drug addiction and diversion, as well as community outreach. Over half of Matt’s career has been spent in specialized units focusing on giving back and improving the quality of life for the community. Matt has received multiple awards throughout his career, including a Medal of Honor and a Community Service Award. Beyond his professional experience, Matt received a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Science in Emergency Management Administration, from West Texas A&M University with a Magna Cum Laude honor.
