Jody Kamon
PhD

Dr. Kamon received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont. She served as a NIDA fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont, focusing her research on evidence based interventions for youth with co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges. She is the founder of the Center for Behavioral Health Integration where she serves as Owner and Evaluation Director. She is also a co-founder and current secretary of the Vermont Evaluation Network; an affiliate of the American Evaluation Association.

Dr. Kamon has worked in the field of substance use and mental health for over twenty years, serving as a researcher and evaluator, clinician, consultant, and trainer and has co-authored numerous publications. Dr. Kamon's goal is to support community and medical organizations to effectively implement, evaluate, and sustain evidence-based practices for addressing behavioral health issues and enhancing the well-being of individuals and families. Current primary efforts include overseeing the evaluation efforts of two statewide implementation initiatives for Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment and two efforts across three states to provide evidence based interventions and wraparound services and supports for youth with co-occurring issues and their families. She is also a national trainer in the use of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
