Hannah Johnson, MPH has dedicated the last nine years of her career to preventing overdose deaths through governmental action. Since 2021, she has been leading the Drug Intelligence and Intervention Group at the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME). Prior to joining OCME, she worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program (HIDTA) as a strategic leader on building and expanding the Overdose Response Strategy to the national initiative it is today. She has a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, where she was a Bloomberg Fellow in the issue area of Addiction and Overdose. She is passionate about data-driven public policy and interdisciplinary coalitional work.
