Sarah Edwards

Sarah Edwards is the Community Program Lead at the Rhode Island Department of Health. In this role she leads implementation and management of all Mobile Outreach contracts and budgets. She coordinates with community partners to increase harm reduction and overdose prevention strategies to identify high burden areas and high risks areas for targeted intervention. She serves as the Rhode Island Department of Health point for relationship development and maintenance with community partners and stakeholders. She runs weekly community workgroup meetings to coordinate statewide outreach efforts, using data to inform action. Prior to joining the Rhode Island Department of Health she served as Director of Peer Recovery and Outreach Services. In that role she collaborated closely with the Rhode Island Department of Health to provide vital content expertise in overdose prevention and harm reduction at the state level.
