As Assistant Legal Counsel, Sarah DeCosse leads the disability rights team in the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) Office of Legal Counsel (OLC). OLC is responsible for developing EEOC rules, guidance, and technical assistance under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, and other federal equal employment laws, as well as handling myriad policy matters and offering trainings and outreach. Prior to joining EEOC, Ms. DeCosse worked in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice addressing related disability rights issues and other employment discrimination matters.
